Frequently asked questions
How do I start navigating?
Search for any business or address, add it as a stop, then tap Start. Live Haul gives you fully in-app, truck-legal turn-by-turn directions — you never leave the app.
Why does the app need my location?
Location is used to show your position on the map, provide turn-by-turn navigation, and find nearby truck stops and weigh stations. During an active trip it keeps updating in the background so navigation and spoken directions continue; it stops when the trip ends.
What is the CB Radio?
An optional push-to-talk feature that lets nearby Live Haul drivers — or your own private team channel — exchange short voice messages. Turn it on from the navigation screen; set your handle in My Rig → CB Radio. Voice messages are held briefly for delivery and then deleted automatically.
What is Live Haul Connect?
The companion for people who are not on the road. Family members or a dispatcher join your team channel with your shareable code, then send you voice messages — and typed messages that appear on your navigation screen and are read aloud by Mack, your voice assistant.
Someone is misusing the radio — what do I do?
Tap Block on any message to stop hearing that sender, or Report to flag it to us — reporting also blocks them for you. Repeat offenders can be banned. If you run a team channel, rotating the join code removes everyone who has the old code.
How do I set my truck's dimensions?
Open the "My Rig" tab and enter your height, width, length, and weight, plus any hazmat or restriction toggles. Routes are then calculated to keep your rig legal.
Are the routes really truck-legal?
Routes respect your rig's dimensions and restrictions where road data is available. Always obey posted signs and use your professional judgment — road conditions and restrictions can change.
